Dahlia's goal with this costume was to stay as true to the Amano artwork as humanly possible, a goal made difficult by 1) all the artwork being wildly different, so her only shot of one particular costume was a back view and, 2) the need for the costume to be "active-friendly" so she could comfortably perform all her skit choreography.

Her overall design concept was clean, slender lines and a controlled pallete with "pops" of colour. She tried VALIANTLY to avoid the Amano cliche of "bead vomit," but admittedly, it was extremely hard to do so, as evidenced by the combination of beaded trim and beaded designs (in retrospect, Dahlia wishes she had embroidered the designs on the two gloves/sleeves rather than beaded them, if nothing else at least for contrast.) Oh, and don't forget the beaded strands in the wig. XD

One of the most fun "experiments" in this costume was actually the make-up. Dahlia could NEVER get away with wearing that shade of lipstick out of costume, so it was exciting to do something that was just a little "over the top." (Not to mention how fun it was to be super-blonde!) She was also able to do Mandi's (aka Kekfa) make-up, which was another delightful change from
doing everyday "street" make-up.
