From the moment Dahlia saw the promo pictures of this dress, even though she was deathly afraid of all the crazy detail work, she knew she HAD to make it. And once Morgan offered to make Will's wedding outfit, well, it was pretty much a done deal. XD

This dress was born through an insane amount of nightmarish hand-patterning, extravagant amounts of fabric and trim, meticulous hand-work, and many tips and tricks from the POTC Costuming Group on Yahoo!. In fact, the dress was made possible only by Emily's new embroidery machine (which she used to recreate the cut-out design on the underskirt) and the gold leaf trim that Ping (who's working on her own version of the dress) found on eBay which saved her from having to embroider all those little suckers by hand. At this point in time, the dress is still missing a couple details (because of financial restraints--she just couldn't afford another 10 yards of trim!)

Even though Emily frequently found herself throwing pieces of this costume across the room, she's terribly pleased with not only how well her wedding outfit turned out but Morgan's as well. Her favorite detail? The "engagement" ring Morgan gave to her. :D
