Fleur DeLacour (First Task) - Harry Potter Series

This costume proved difficult to make due to the complete lack of reference photos, but it was either this or attempting a Beauxbatons hat. The flame retardant vest was a combination of gold lame, iron-on fleece, and quilter's grid, which is why the criss-cross lines from the hand-quilting of the vest are so straight. 

The jacket and pants were made using Casa satin, to match the shiny quality of Fleur's suit. The embroidered lettering was purchased and coloured gold using a metallic pen, then ironed on. Dahlia has worn this costume twice, both times with different shoes--we never see a clear shot of Fleur's feet and apparently Dahlia does not have any shoes that match this costume.
