Gabrielle (Tarot Card Empress) - Xena: The Bitter Suite

This representation of Gabrielle is based off the standard Tarot deck version of "The Empress." The costume appeared in the Season 3 musical episode The Bitter Suite and the costume is meant to show Gabrielle's peaceful nature.

Gabrielle was modified from a "regular" dress pattern and fully hand-painted, but the apron, belt, and neckline were hand-patterned. Each circle on the dress was penciled in using a stencil and then painted with gold craft paint.  Gabrielle's leaf bracelets were created with green craft foam painted with a green covering to make them more shiny, like the originals.

Lilacwire created the crown using a tiara base, wire, and wooden stars.  It was probably the most difficult part of the costume because it took wire-work, and Lilacwire hadn't done that before.
