Dahlia decided that a short-haired Garnet was a good Garnet, mainly because she liked that hairstyle better than the long/barrette version.  But besides from the ease of the wig, the rest of the costume was definitely a challenge!

Dahlia found that the bodysuit she'd originally bought for this costume didn't like her dye, so left with a strangely peach bodysuit and not a lot of cash, she patterned her own version of this outfit and came out with a very cute and nicely-made garment.  

The gloves were also a new task for Dahlia, who hand stitched her own for the very first time, adding all the buckles and padding.  We're all pleased with the result!

The weapon was a dual effort between Jem and Dahlia, who took turns building, sanding, and painting it over the course of about a week.  It's pretty impressive in person.  And heavy.
