Dahlia already had a pretty full plate in the months leading up to AX, so who knows what possessed her to pull this costume together, other than her fangirly obsession for the rebellious lab rat!

The costume itself was fairly easy--the woefully inaccurate labcoat was made in two nights while the "civvies" were all pulled from Dahlia's closet--but it was recreating Greg's signature hairstyle that proved to be the most difficult task. A Femme Fatale wig was purchased from Amphigory and cut down significantly by Dahlia, but when it came down to the more "detailed" cutting, she was at a bit of a loss. After lots of hemming, hawwing, and consulting "Haircutting For Dummies," she broke down and called the professionals at Fantastic Sam's in. XD After it was cut, Dahlia wefted in the "high-lights" (big sporadic chunks of blonde extensions.)

Not a single soul recognized Dahlia as Greg, which was unsurprising. She doesn't regret spending the time to make this costume, though, as the wig proved to be an excellent learning experience and gave her the confidence to try more intricate hair-do's... And who knows? Maybe sometime she'll try her hand at his utility vest.
