Kaylee, the ever optomistic ship's mechanic from Firefly, was a costume created to match with Inara's, well...Inara outfit. Because Kaylee mainly wears a mechanic uniform paired with cute shirts with Asian designs, Lilacwire purchased the shirt from E-bay and ordered the mechanic outfit online. The outfit was worked on with tailoring to make the uniform made for a man fit better. She also applied appliques and roughed up the costume.
