Miwako (Book 2 opening page) - Paradise Kiss

The idea for this costume came from one of the splash pages from the manga.  Miwako never wears the outfit in the actual storyline; just in a small picture of all the characters on a field. 

Miwako was made using Butterick 6879 for the top, and Butterick 3706 for the skirt. The top was tailored to give a better fit. Both the top and the skirt were lined. The shoes were purchased online, while we found the jewelry at Claire's botique. 

This was also Lilacwire's first wig she styled.  She wanted it full because Miwako is always portrayed as having an amazing amount of hair.  Lilacwire purchased the wig from Amphigory and wefted it at home using Katie Bair's wig techniques.
