Roman Lady - Halloween Costume

Lilacwire and Dahlia each chose to do a variation on this costume for Halloween.  Lilacwire abbreviated her version by not adding a cheesy Cleopatra snake head piece and collar, and decided to go with the cape and belt.

The costume was fun because it didn't take a lot of time to make, but also gave Lilacwire the chance to do something a little more classic.  The red fabric is a casa fabric from JoAnn Fabrics, and the gold is a "costume" fabric from Hancock Fabrics

The hardest part of the costume was probably making the bodice and dress halves come together correctly, while the easiest was the skirt.
