Ikari Shinji - Neon Genesis Evangelion

Although Dahlia has long been a fan of Evangelion, her offer to be Shinji for an Eva group was originally a joke. But, when asked to be the emo-est kid in all of anime, she couldn't refuse.

This costume was completed in a single day: the white shirt and pants were picked up at a thrift store, the teal t-shirt was snagged from Urban Outfitters, the materials for the belt came from Denver Fabrics, and the wig was ordered online from Amphigory. Too bad all of Dahlia's costumes can't be this easy!

The intention of this costume was "just for fun" and that's exactly what it was. Not only did she have a blast with the Eva group, but she had quite a bit of fun wearing it on her own (she was pleasantly surprised at how many people recognized this simple outfit.)
