White Rose was truly a labor of love.  Lilacwire spent about a year purchasing flowers whenever she could find them on sale, and tried to find similar colors because dye lots changed over the course of that time.  She also decided to deviate from the original color and go for a green/yellow tint rather than the blue/orange original.  Part of this was because of the dye job - the fabric she chose for the dress didn't take blue very well.

The bodice was constructed after a pattern, then altered to accept lacing up the back and attached to a hand-patterned skirt.  The tutu is also hand patterned, as are the puff sleeves.

A majority of this costume is custom dyed or painted.  The detailing on the bodice includes Svorski crystal rhinestones.

All flowers were sewn on by hand and many times had to be re-adjusted to sit well on the costume.

The capes are chiffon, the fabric in the costume casa, and two different types of tulle were used to make the petticoats.  Several patterns were repeated throughout the costume, including the lace used on the capes and hat; and the flower rhinestone patterns on the sleeves and bodice.
