Yukari School Outfit- Paradise Kiss

Admittedly, when Dahlia made her first Yukari costume a few years ago, she hadn't read much of the manga. Not too long ago, she was inspired to not only sit down and read the manga but watch the anime as well. She quickly fell in love with Yukari's less-than-perfect character and decided to make yet another Yukari costume--the only problem was, which one? After much debate, she settled on this one.

The actual construction of this costume was not particularly difficult--the true challenge lay in not only finding the right fabrics, but coordinating them as well. The only non-lumberjack plaid that Dahlia could find was a pink and black taffeta, so she wound up coordinating the rest of the outfit to that. Dahlia also modified the design slightly but wearing Yukari's hair down as she didn't find the pig-tail look to be particularly attractive.

This is probably one of Dahlia's favorite costumes to date, since she adores dressing like one of her favorite fashionistas. :)
